"A Century of Educating God's Greatest Gift, Our Children"

Our October Virtue of the Month is Empathy. "So we,being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members of one another." Romans 12:5

**** Please check the Science Page for information regarding our lessons for the week.
Coming Soon!!! Visit our Photo Gallery for pictures of our 7th graders working on our Saving Sam STEM Lab and our Marshmallow Tower Challenge. Sam capsized in his boat and didn't have a life preserver on. Look at the different ways our students "saved" Sam using different scientific and engineering methods. Using only the materials given, the students had to cooperatively design and engineer a tower made of sphagetti and place a marshmallow on top!  Great job 7th grade!

Our September Virtue of the Month is Unity. Let us be united in our faith as well as our caring and compassion for one another as we begin a new school year.
                                         St. Agnes, Our Patron Saint
You, Agnes, followed Christ, even to death.
Teach us to love Him as you loved Him; to witness to Him as you did, with â€‹courage
; to put love for Him before our own lives; to renounce the idols presented to us by society; to risk everything in response to His fidelity. Amen

Welcome Back! I am eagerly looking forward to my second year at St Agnes Cathedral School and meeting all of our new Seventh Graders. I was welcomed last year with such overwhelming kindness and enjoyed every moment teaching our wonderful students.
My own Catholic school education brings me to St. Agnes. I attended grades K-8 at St. Francis of Assisi in Astoria and made lifelong friends. I attended St. John's Prep, also in Astoria, for High School. I earned both my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in grades 7-9 Science and my Masters in Reading from St. John's University. Seventh grade Science has always been my favorite subject to teach. We will be using microscopes, studying cells and discovering ways to protect our beautiful planet Earth!
I live in Dix Hills with my husband, and my two daughters. In my spare time, I love to read, go to the beach and watch my daughters play lacrosse and field hockey.
