Website of St. Agnes Cathedral School. Please feel free to peruse the website to learn about the history of the school, its mission,
curriculum, students, faculty, staff and programs.
1917, the school, after ninety-nine years, continues to provide a
spiritually rich and challenging academic program for Catholic children
in grades K-8. The commitment of clergy, administrators, faculty, staff
and parents to ongoing growth and quality has resulted in recognition
by the United States Department of Education as a National School of
Excellence and accreditation by the Middle States Association for
Colleges and Schools.
With an enrollment of over 700 students, St. Agnes
Cathedral School is the largest K-8 Parish elementary school in the
Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Dear St. Agnes Cathedral School Parents,
I hope you and your child/ren are enjoying the summer. I am looking forward to embracing the 2016-17 school year with you as the new principal of St. Agnes Cathedral School, where thousands of students for almost 100 years have been educated. It is my aspiration to continue educating every child in the tenets of the Roman Catholic Faith by promoting Gospel values, life-long service, global awareness, and academic excellence, all within the Dominican tradition.
In order to assist you in preparing for the start of the school year, as well as throughout the year, I will use this space to inform you of upcoming events and important messages, such as the following:
The first day of school for students in grades 1-8 is Wednesday, September 7th. The children are to report to their last year’s classroom by 8:15 A.M. School will dismiss at 2:45 P.M.
All students in grades 1-8 should be in complete uniform. Girls’ skirts may not be worn more than 2 inches above the knee.
Backpacks with wheels pose a potential danger and are not permitted.
Kindergarten will begin on Thursday, September 8th and will be in full session from 8:15 A.M.-2:45 P.M. The children should assemble in the school yard on this day only. Kindergarten parents should be present on the first day.

Please join me and Mr. Brian Jensen, Assistant Principal, Thursday, September 15th at 7:30 P.M. for Back to School Night for parents of students in grades K – 6.
Back to School Night for parents and students in grades 7 and 8 will take place on Wednesday, September 21st at 7:30 PM in the Monsignor Kelly Center.
During these evenings you will have the opportunity to meet your child/ren’s teachers as well as meet the new administration. The school calendar will be distributed during these evenings. For your convenience, it is available to view and download from the school’s website under “Quick Links”.
