HOLINESS is the state of being consecrated to God or His worship. It means being like Christ. It is the state of being marked by purity in spirit and body. Being Christlike is the highest description of character & it is not a one time event, but an ongoing process.
"As obedient children,...be conformed to the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” -1 Peter 1:14-15
