Meet Mrs. Bender
Hello, students and parents! My name is Mrs. Bender and I am super excited to work alongside of you in class 4-3 for the 2023 – 2024 academic school year.
This is my fourth year teaching at St. Agnes Cathedral School. I am beyond grateful to spend this year with all of you and create an atmosphere where learning will be interactive, engaging, and fun using all safety protocols in place. I also coach girls' soccer and lacrosse with Ms. Donaldson. GO STAGS!
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Kinesiology from the University of Coastal Carolina, located in South Carolina, home of the Chanticleers. I decided to further my education at The College of New Rochelle, where I received a Master’s in Childhood and Special Education. I am a huge soccer fan, love ice hockey (HUGE Ranger fan), and love watching the Mets at Citi Field.

RUBRICSSpelling Rubric:
Level 4: 25-26 correct
Level 3: 20-24 correct
Level 2: 16-19 correct
Level 1: 15 correct and below
*Students also need to use correct punctuation and spelling for the sentence they are given to write.
Math, Science, and Religion rubrics vary based on the number of questions on each test. Rubrics for these tests will be placed at the top of each test when given.

This year we are going to focus on our mission to be fishers of men, and disciples, to not only remember what Jesus did for us, but also as a challenge to rise to what Jesus wants from us through virtuous actions, words, and deeds.
